There's no doubt about it now - Spring is here to stay!
It's now official; It's Spring In The Garden!
My Poppies are emerging through the snow!
The strawberry beds were well mulched last fall and are already starting to rise up for a new season! We'll keep them protected a little longer just to ensure we don't get any damage from a freak ice storm - not unusual in this area! Could be picking as early as late May depending on how the weather goes or mid June at the latest! YUM!
Here a daffodil has pushed it's way through the cold soil, looking for the warmth of the sun.
One of our garden visitors.
A morning dove was perched in the tree above me enjoying the warm sunshine and watched calmly as I took a few photographs in the garden!
Watching the morning dove enjoying the sunshine and beautiful blue skies brought back lovely thoughts of my own... Visions of playing, lounging and dining in the garden, enjoying all spring has to offer!
Ah-h-h-h! Now that feels better!
It's supposed to rain for a couple of days, with that the balance of the snow still hanging around should disappear and serious gardening AND garden lounging can start anew!
Hope you're enjoying your first day of spring!
(...or fall - depending on where you are in the world!)
