Lilacs are Lovely
Almost a week ago I suggested I would share some shots of lilacs and osprey... Guess I got a wee bit distracted!
I'm not surprised that time seems to be moving much more quickly. Six months ago several friends and I were given forewarning that such a thing would become apparent and may become the norm. As if things don't already move too fast for many people, the pace quickens still. So if I don't "keep up" with my scheduled postings you'll know it's just time moving a bit more quickly than I can muster to keep up with on the physical plane! He! He!
The lilacs have already finished their beautiful display here in Guelph. I was lucky on one afternoon to come across a lovely hedge of lilacs growing on the edge of one farm property on the outskirts of town.
I wrote this caption;
Hedges of Lilac work well on large properties. Though their show of blooms is short lived, the leaves can provide a wonderful privacy screen throughout the summer.
I also captured a few close-up shots;

I created this multiple exposure image below, it might make a nice background for a web page;

The dreamy quality of this image is the best one to finish with, these fragrant flowers are now but a dream until next spring. No wonder dear Dorthy exclaimed; "My how things come and go so quickly around here!"
(working on the osprey shots now and hope to post them a bit later... do stay tuned!)
