Coldest Day Of The Winter So Far!
Br-r-r-r! It's -21 C and with the windchill it feels like -30 C, Winds are coming from the NW at 9 to 20 km/hr, Humidity sits at 64% and the Barometric pressure went up to 103.44 kPa. The sky is clear and beautiful and the moon is starting to get ready to set. It still looks close to full and is starting to take on that orangey hue it gets when it's close to setting. I don't have time this morning to try a shot but at about this same time last year I got a few cool shots of the moon while it was setting behind one of Guelph's biggest landmarks;
Plus this one; I wrote in the caption for this shot; "Where's Mary Poppins?"
and a classic;
The main reason I'm putting up a quick entry; I'll be away through the day with an assignment I'm working on and wanted to apologise to my website visitors for the links that aren't yet showing up on a few sections of our site, specifically the videos and poetry sections. We've switched to a new server and it seems a few of the pages somehow didn't make it up! We'll get to work on correcting that just as soon as we can! Don't give up!
We have more new material to add and hope to resolve these issues so that we can expand our offerings there in the very near future.
In the meantime I'll bundle up good to head out this morning to one of my favourite old downtown buildings (but re-finished) to help out in their office for the rest of the week and next week too. I never know what I'll be doing when I go there - and that's part of the fun. I look forward to the break from snow shovelling! While I didn't mind helping out for that company it is back breaking work at times - like when the snow is wet and heavy!
According to the weather network it'll be above zero by Friday and we'll see snow melting by Saturday and we'll move into the unsettled weather patterns that normally signal the impending end to winter for another year. It won't be long now and we'll start seeing real indications of spring's approach and we'll get to watch the garden awaken to a new season of growth!
